About 10 years ago or so, the buzz phrase in photography was "the lost years of photography" due to people not printing their images because more images were being taken but fewer of those images were being printed. That was then... and this is NOW! It was a dark era in photography. With the increased efforts of manufacturers and the synergy of the camera and printer and folks understanding how the paper influences the image... PRINTING IS BACK!
The BIG conversation we are having with the majority of our customers is PRINT YOUR PHOTOS! And I am happy to report... they are! As is the case with analog photography, the creative process is not complete until the image is printed. Whether you are shooting with film and scanning your files or capturing images with a digital camera, there is no other way to totally control your work and communicate to your audience what you are trying to say with your photography. Viewing your images on a low resolution computer monitor, iPad, mobile phone or projector does not show the full measure of your talent and ability. Posting those images on Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr or other social media and web based albums are limited in that you have no way of knowing exactly what folks are seeing since every monitor is different. Whether it is a traditional darkroom print or a high quality inkjet print, remember prints don't crash or corrupt like hard drives. Treated properly they will last a lifetime... or several lifetimes. Printing is fun, exciting and physical. An image on a hard drive is just pixels. Turn off the electricity and it is gone. Prints are forever and photographers are printing again! This is a new era in photography and YOU are leading the way every time you print your images!
Please keep those comments and feedback coming and remember, "Without YOU there is no US!"
Sincerely,
Eric Joseph

This is the way that film used to be made! ReraPan 100 ISO 127 size, with it's classic emulsion, is a traditional black and white film from Japan. This film is for use in 127 cameras with masks for either 4x6.5cm size frames or 4x4cm size frames. Dust off your Primo Jr., Yashica 44, Kodak Brownie Bullet, Baby Rollei, Komaflex, Baby Pearl, Parvola, Walz Automat, Minolta Miniflex, etc. and start shooting them again. If using a lab for processing, make sure to request your 127 spools to be returned to you.
It happened! Adox has coated their now world famous MCC black and white paper emulsion on a new 112 semi-matte surface! Curling paper! It is the bane of every printer's existence. Even the slightest amount of curl on a sheet of fine art inkjet paper can cause head strikes ruining your print. Nothing ever seems to work. Bending the paper back by hand without creasing it or scratching is seemingly impossible. Printing from a roll, especially at the end of the roll, paper curl gets even worse. The D&K De-Roller is a super simple but effective device that I personally can't live without. This first-of- its-kind accessory provides an ingenious solution to the curling problems plaguing framers. Now, by simply using the De-Roller, you can take the curl out of posters, digital printouts, and photographic and fine art papers in minutes- without causing damage or wasting hours of your valuable time.
