Synthrapol is a special detergent used to remove unattached excess dye from hand dyed fabrics. It also removes sizing from fabric prior to dyeing. It will allow even color when used in the dye bath.
Prewashing in Synthrapol helps remove impurities that can interfere with the dye and cause uneven dyeing.
Synthrapol as the afterwash keeps loose dye particles of dye in suspension so they don't stain other areas of the fabric or bleed.
Use 1/4 cup (2 oz) of Synthrapol per full washing machine load for standard fabrics like cotton or rayon and 1/8 cup (1 oz) for finer fabrics like silk.
Great for use with Inkodye.
We recommend the use of lab/rubber gloves when using this product to avoid possible mild skin irritation.
