This 5-session course teaches students how to capture, create, and print historical tri-color gum bichromate prints. Students are taught the basic principles of gum printing and the unique relationship that it holds with digital capture and overall convenience. During the course, students compile and interpret their own digital negatives in order to produce beautiful tri-color gum bichromate prints. Classes will usually comprise live demos and lab sessions. Tuition includes a pass to computer workstations and partial access to private B&W darkrooms. PRE-REQ: Some digital and photoshop experience is recommended. BRING: Digital files at 300dpi 8x10 max, Instructor will send out an email of additional suggested supplies.

Tuition : $300 - BUT you get $25 off if you register at least one week prior to first class, making tuition only $275 per class.
