Proudly Presents...
"@ see level"

An exhibition of fine-art photography by:
FRANK JACKSON
January 22 - April 6, 2009

Frank Jackson is a former Florida resident and artist who made his way West, where he discovered his penchant for traditional darkroom photography. Ranging in formats from diminutive 110 to the giant 8"x10", his work has allowed him to travel around the world in search of the perfect monochrome image. "I prefer shooting in black and white," says Jackson, "because it forces the viewer to look at the essence of an image... its form, tone, light, and shadow, instead of being distracted by the decorative efforts of color."

Now the Creative Center for Photography presents Frank Jackson's new show "@ see level", a collection of splendid neo-abstract black and white images that is, according to jackson, a non-conscious thought process of "seeing" without stopping to think. A place where the past and future exist together - where people, places, and things are all equaled by "the light". Invoking the brief space where reality and perception merge into moments that burn themselves into one's memory, "@ see level" has become the latest example of intriguing and visually arresting images to grace the Creative Center of Photography.
