QUESTION:
Can you offer any guides for teaching? I have a teen-age
class starting soon , I also wanted to find a camera that we could
use film in w/ repeatable results for under 25.oo? Also, do you
or have you tried to convert a Holga to Pinhole, that may work for
budget and enable them to have better/repeatable results???Please
help....I cannot seem to find a good teaching guide either, I have
lots of ideas but am concerned most about the camera. I have made
these before: Oatmeal and just Box structure, but loading with Paper
vs. film is inconvient for Class field trips and limits students
I find. What and where can I find cameras: film-based for my kids???Thanks
in advance for your help....

MR. RENNER'S ANSWER:
Beth,
I don't have one in front of me so I'm trying to remember. First
take off the lens of the Holga. You can then take about a 1/2" -3/4"
diameter drill bit and drill past the shutter. Remove all the shutter
mechanism. It's tough metal and looks like the entire camera might
fall apart when you do this. That worked for a group of college
students who used them last year. Then tape a small pinhole on the
front.
