The "Digital Revolution" has had a significant influence on my photographic workflow in two specific ways.
First, being able to process my final prints in a "whiteroom" rather than a darkroom means that I can quickly inspect finished prints under good lighting conditions and make immediate feedback to the printing process to make corrections or adjustments. My composite analog-digital workflow consists of taking the photo using film, usually large or medium format; developing the film; then scanning the negatives or transparencies at 2000 to 4000 ppi to produce large digital files from which I then produce the final prints.
Second, I can use my digital camera for scouting new photographic areas. I often travel to locations that are difficult to access. Carrying my full backpack with 4x5 camera, lenses, filmholders, and tripod into these areas can be exhausting. But I can hike in with my digital camera and take record photos to be reviewed later to decide whether to return with full gear.
