The Lee Infrared 87C filter is a 4x4 inch, polyester filter for use in the Lee Gel Snap Holder.
It is visually opaque and is used in infrared photography to absorb unwanted visible light. Transmission begins above 775 nanometers. Allows less visible light through, so that your exposure compensation is more than with an 87 filter.
