Why is there an extra charge?

German engineering has been well-known for outstanding quality in product manufacturing. Freestyle is proud to introduce the Kaiser VPM 9005; the enlarger that not only delivers high performance, but also comes with all the various enlarger accessories you need.

The Kaiser VPM 9005 includes a Multigrade head with dichroic color filters for use with variable contrast paper without changing the exposure time. Scale dial indirectly illuminated with index numbers in half steps from 0 (extra soft) to 5 (extra hard) for stepless contrast control. White-light lever for simultaneous swinging in or out of filters, with control light. Continuously adjustable density aperture up to 60 densitometric densities (= two aperture settings). Best possible light distribution due to special diffusor plate and exchangeable double condenser system.

All Kaiser enlargers include lens boards, bulb and an adjustable glass masking negative carrier, ensuring that the price you see is the price
you’re going to pay for a complete enlarger (enlarging lens not included).

The VP 9005 is flexible to handle just about any printing up to 12"x 16".
The single central column is solid aluminum, with convenient markings in
centimeters, inches and scale markers. Adjustment of the enlarger head is
extra-precise, thanks to both coarse-focus and fine-focus knobs. The
enlarger comes with two bubble levels to aid in alignment, above the lens
filter drawer and under the lens filter holder, an enlarging head with lens
stage that tilts for keystone correction. The entire enlarger head also swivels a full 90° to provide wall-projection capability.

The two included lensboards swap out simply and rapidly, enabling the use of enlarging lenses from 50mm through 105mm.

The negative carrier is adjustable to handle any film format up to 6x9cm, and comes with removable top anti-newton and bottom clear glass.

Optional negative carrier fixed format plastic inserts are also available for all standard formats from 35mm to 6x9 cm.

The included gray laminated baseboard measures 23.6 in. x 19.7 in.
