The Instant Lab Universal isn’t a printer. It’s a camera! It exposes the images on your smartphone or tablet’s screen onto Impossible’s Polaroid™-format instant film via a photographic process – mirroring the traditional darkroom environment. Just load the camera with your film, download or update the Impossible Project App and you’re ready to go!

CRAFTED FOR COMPATIBILITY

The Instant Lab Universal is designed to work with the latest high-definition smartphones and tablets on the market today using the updated Impossible Project App, available free for iOS and now Android. The App guides you through the process of using the Instant Lab Universal step-by-step. Crop and edit your image in advance and set exposure times according to your film of choice. When you’re ready, place your device on the cradle, expose your image to the film, eject the photo and then watch it develop in the palm of your hand.

If you want to share your analog creations online, the App also features a scanner so you can transfer the moment back onto any device with ease.

The Instant Lab Universal works with Impossible B&W and Color film for Polaroid™ 600 and SX-70 cameras. This also includes our limited Special Editions with round, colored or patterned frames, our artistic black frame films as well as classic Polaroid™-format white.

Before you eject your photo, you can expose your image as many times as you want to create beautiful dream-like images.
